At Peter Mac, we welcome as much involvement from our community as possible. Of course, as a hospital and research centre, there are some limitations in our capacity to use volunteers. Our volunteer opportunities come in three forms:

Formal Volunteer Program
|
Peter Mac has a comprehensive volunteer program that requires a commitment of between two and four hours per week. Potential volunteers go through a selection process, are police-checked, undertake an induction program and receive continued training throughout the year. Volunteers are responsible for giving appropriate support to patients and their families around the hospital and at home. Please visit www.petermac.org/dept/volunteers to find out more.

Event volunteering

Peter Mac holds a number of fundraising events each year, some of which require the help of enthusiastic volunteers to keep costs at a minimum. We welcome those interested to join the Volunteer Register.
