What we do
The Food Services department prepares and distributes plated meals and mid meals to inpatients; as well as providing a service to patients in day wards.

At Peter Mac we recognize the food you are served contributes to your satisfaction with the hospital. Our emphasis is on quality, responsiveness, flexibility and meeting your nutritional requirements through an appropriate menu.

If you are an inpatient , we advise you discuss any special dietary needs you have with your Ward Dietitian or Nurse. These can then be arranged with the kitchen.

Patient feedback is an important part of our service. Monthly patient satisfaction surveys are conducted in the wards to assist us in providing a high quality service.

Who we are
Leading the food services team is Vicki Barrington, a highly experienced dietitian. Vicki is supported by a Des Carroll, the head chef and Sandra Mazza, the administrative officer.

A Menu Monitor visits inpatients daily to provide a menu that is suitable for every patient’s dietary needs.

Patient Satisfaction Surveys queries can be directed to Sandra Mazza, on 03 9656 1742.
