Chair of Breast Cancer Service

Associate Professor Michael Henderson MBBS BMedSc MD FRACS Michael A Henderson is head of the Multidisciplinary Breast Service at Peter Mac. He is a surgeon in all aspects of benign and malignant breast disease. He graduated from the University of Melbourne and has an FRACS in general surgery.

Michael went on to complete a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas M D Anderson Cancer Centre. His current research interests include the significance of micro burden metastatic disease and patients with early stage breast cancer. His clinical interests include the surgery of malignant breast cancer with a special emphasis on management of patients with advanced breast cancer and reconstruction in association with a Plastic Surgical colleague.
