| Ms Patricia Faulkner AO (Chair) BA, DipEd, MAdmin, FIPA, FCHSE | |||||||||||||||||
| Ms Faulkner is the Global Leader of KPMG's Healthcare line of business. She is also KPMG's National Partner-in-Charge of Health and Social Policy and State Governments. From August 2000 until March 2007 Ms Faulkner was the Secretary of the Victorian Department of Human Services. In this position she was the CEO of one of the largest state government departments, with a portfolio including health, public housing, disability services, child protection and juvenile justice. Her main interests lie in structure of Government, policy development and analysis, regulation and public sector governance. She currently Chairs the Prime Minister's Social Inclusion Board. She is also Chair of the Peter Mac Cancer Centre and a Board member of the Melbourne International Arts Festival and Jesuit Social Services. Ms Faulkner holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Melbourne University majoring in Economics and Psychology and a Diploma of Education and Master of Administration also from Melbourne University. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia and Victoria and a Fellow of the College of Health Service Executives. | |||||||||||||||||

| A psychiatric researcher of international standing, David has written over 230 peer reviewed articles, primarily on schizophrenia. He was the Director of the Mental Health Research Institute from 1985 to 2004 and is currently the Senior Advisor in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and president of Monash University where he is engaged with major strategic developments, especially those relating to new research collaborations and opportunities. He is also Professor of Psychiatry at Monash University and at the University of Melbourne. He is a Director on the Board of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation. He has been recognised with the Senior Organon Award and the Founders’ Medal of the Australian Society of Psychiatric Research for excellence in mental health research. He is a Fellow of both Queen’s College and St Hilda’s College at the University of Melbourne. He is Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Research Advisory Committee and a Peter Mac Board nominee to the Board of Directors, Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation Ltd. | |||||||||||||||||

| Ian Allen OAM BEc, MAdmin, FAIM | |||||||||||||||||
| Ian’s business career spans over 30 years as an executive in the Victorian electricity industry and the Victorian public sector followed by over 16 years with Pratt Holdings Pty Ltd. With the latter he has been involved with a range of activities including the arts, philanthropy, corporate citizenship, investment projects, major corporate entertainment, recycling, cost reduction programs, property management, aviation and government relations. He is a trustee of The Pratt Foundation, the Pratt Family Foundation, Visy Cares, The Pratt Group Scholarship Fund and the Carlton Football Club Foundation, and he is a board member of The Link Centre Ltd, Meadow Heights Learning Shop Inc, the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal, the Australian Council for Children and Youth Organisations, Youth Junction Inc, Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and a Council member of Lakeside Secondary College. Ian also has significant involvement in the Australian entertainment industry as a musician, musical director, tour manager, producer, promoter and importer of international artists. He was awarded the Order of Australia in 1998. Ian is a Peter Mac patient and a cancer survivor. | |||||||||||||||||

| Sue is a non-executive Director of AMP Superannuation Ltd, ANZ Staff Superannuation (Australia) Pty Ltd, and Treasury Corporation of Victoria. Sue is also a member of the Private Health Insurance Administration Council and a member of the Compliance Committee of BlackRock Investment Management (Australia) Ltd. Sue has a consulting practice specialising in corporate governance and board effectiveness and is a tutor with the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is the former Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) Regional Commissioner for Victoria. | |||||||||||||||||

| Cathy Hutton is a general practitioner with 25 years experience, the last 18 in Moonee Ponds. She has been a director on boards of two non-profit organisations, North West Melbourne Division of General Practice, for 6 years, and Regina Coeli, an organisation that supports homeless women, for the last 3 years. For the past three years, she has been Chair of the Section of General Practice of Victorian AMA and has recently been elected to its Board. She has experience in providing services to a wide range of patients in suburban areas of Melbourne as well as providing Indigenous health services in outback Australia. She has recently completed a Masters of Public Health at Melbourne University including the study of policy formulation and development. She has an interest in the provision of high quality and safe services to the people of Melbourne and Victoria. | |||||||||||||||||
| Professor Peter Sheldrake BA, MA, MSc, PhD, Hon FAIM, FRSA | |||||||||||||||||
| Peter Sheldrake joined RMIT Business in 1997, where he is Professor of Business Entrepreneurship, and currently is the Director of Corporate and Executive Education in the Graduate School of Business. He began his working career as an academic, teaching in the Universities of Cambridge and Edinburgh, and at the Flinders University of South Australia. He then left the academic world, and for 19 years worked in the private, government and not-for profit sectors. He was a chief executive for twelve years, and prior to joining RMIT University had spent nine years at the Australian Institute of Management. He has written seven books and numerous articles, and is a regular speaker, conducting workshops and programs on strategic leadership, innovation and related issues. He has a long-term involvement with the arts as a board member and source of advice on management and leadership issues. He is a Director of the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, Red Stitch Theatre Company, Urban Forum (Singapore), and Chairman of Radio 3MBS. | |||||||||||||||||

| Professor Daine Alcorn | |||||||||||||||||
| Professor Daine Alcorn has been Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) at RMIT University since 2008. In this role, she is responsible for research partnerships; research support; RMIT’s Graduate Research Office and four Research Institutes - Design, Global Cities, Platform Technologies and Sustainable Health & Well Being. Professor Alcorn joined RMIT University as Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences in 2002 and was appointed to the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Science, Engineering and Technology) in 2003. At RMIT University, she has been closely involved in the development of interactive multi-media teaching programs, focussed on student learning responsibilities. Professor Alcorn is a medical biologist by training and was previously Professor of Anatomy and Head of the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at The University of Melbourne. She has more than 100 publications on renal development, structure and function and has attracted considerable research grant funding support over many years. Professor Alcorn has been a regular member of accreditation teams under the auspices of the Australian Medical Council and has served on many NHMRC committees. In 2007, Professor Alcorn was appointed Inaugural Chair of the Consultative Council of the Victorian Cancer Agency. Her term finishes on Tuesday 30 June. Professor Alcorn currently serves on the Board of Museum Victoria. | |||||||||||||||||
| Ms JoAnne Stephenson | |||||||||||||||||
| Ms JoAnne Stephenson is the National Managing Partner of KPMG’s Risk Advisory Services Practice, based in Melbourne. She is also a member of the firm’s National Executive Committee and is a member of the Asia Pacific leadership team for the firm's Risk Advisory Services Practice. Ms Stephenson qualified in commerce and law and has had experience in the audit, corporate recovery and consulting practices of KPMG. She was admitted to the partnership in 1994, playing a key role in integrating risk analysis into the firm’s internal audit approach and developing the firm's corporate governance practice. She has worked on many large insolvency assignments, high-profile governance reviews, outsourced internal audit functions and has advised many private and public sector clients. Ms Stephenson is currently a Trustee of the Shrine of Remembrance Trust. She has previously been a Director of Yarra Valley Water, a Trustee of the Queen Victoria Women's Centre Trust and a Director of YWCA (Victoria). She will retire next week from the Board of Zoos Victoria. Ms Stephenson has been a member of the Department of Human Services' Strategic Projects Coaching Panel and is involved with the Victoria Police Leadership Mentoring Program. Ms Stephenson and her husband also own a retail business, with two stores in Armadale and Daylesford. The business sells antique and contemporary prints and a broad selection of homewares and also undertakes custom picture-framing for clients. She and her husband are currently developing an olive grove in Daylesford. |
