Being an outpatient at Peter Mac
Most Peter Mac patients are outpatients who will only be at the hospital for a few hours. We advise setting aside the morning or afternoon of your appointment to ensure ample time at the hospital for any additional tests or consultations that may be necessary.

On your first visit to Peter Mac, go directly to the Registrations and Admissions Office on the ground floor. Once you are registered, you will be directed to your appointment location.

For most patients, your first appointment at Peter Mac will be at a Specialist Clinic. At this appointment, we will determine whether you become a Peter Mac patient or if you require a referral elsewhere.

At the Peter Mac Specialist Clinics, you may meet a range of health care professionals, including specialists and nurses. At your Specialist Clinic appointment, treatment options may be discussed with you, so you may find it helpful to bring a list of questions with you.
